The greatest European wine fair is almost at hand. On the occasion of Prowein, Düsseldorf will be the wine capital: March 19 – 21, 2017. Many changes are in store this year, from the debut of the Asian Wine Producers Association to the Organic World exhibit, and 6,300 exhibitors from all wine growing regions of the world will be there. Italy, with 1,500 exhibitors, is the leading country in both participation and presence, surpassing even France, one of the original partners in the event. And because of this, Marius Berlemann, global director of Prowein since March 2016, wanted to personally introduce the fair to Italian journalists at the presentation of Prowein in Milan. Participating in an international fair provides the opportunity to promote the results of one’s work and broaden one’s horizons, meeting the world of wine and experiencing the most important international venues. To this end, we will be present at Prowein, welcoming the occasion to share the traditions and the care with which we have always produced our wines. Our wineries, Rocca Bernarda (Friuli), Castello di Magione (Umbria), and Villa Giustiniani (Veneto) possess a lasting legacy in the production of fine wines. Rocca Bernarda is one of the oldest wine estates in Friuli Venezia Giulia, producing wine since 1559, and has long been considered a point of reference for the production of Picolit. The vineyards are positioned on breathtaking hillside terraces called ‘ronchi’ in the heart of the Friuli Colli Orientali D.O.C. The ‘ponca,’ typical Friulan terrain composed of sand and marl-sandstone that constitutes the hills of Rocca Bernarda, transmits its elegance and minerality to our wines.

Castello di Magione is located in the Colli del Trasimeno D.O.C. Wine production there began in medieval times and has represented a heritage of excellence ever since. The vineyards are situated at an altitude varying from 250 to 350 meters above sea level, where sun and perfect exposure guarantee the best climate for excellent, structured reds and important, fruity whites.

Villa Giustiniani produces Asolo Prosecco Superiore D.O.C.G. Its vineyards are located at Montello in the Asolo D.O.C.G. and are planted with a prevailing northeastern exposure on sandy-clayey terrain. Our prosecco, produced with 100% Glera grapes, is elegant, with strong character and well balanced.

These estates are our ambassadors for the promotion of Italian excellence.

Come meet our team and join us for a tasting. We look forward to seeing you!
