Established in 1968, Castelli Aperti is an exciting journey organised by the Consorzio Castelli FVG, to safeguard, preserve and enhance the architectural heritage made up of castles and other fortified buildings of historical interest.
Castelli Aperti was created with the intention of facilitating access to the historical remains represented by the castles and the several fortified buildings all around Friuli Venezia Giulia.
Visitors were accompanied in the halls, in the splendid orangeries rich in art, history and memories of past times.
During the visit, it was possible to discover the most interesting details of the history of Rocca Bernarda: a journey dedicated to art and architecture, combined with curiosities about the residence and anecdotes that are handed down from generation to generation.
Castelli Aperti is an opportunity to go back in time by discovering a hitherto hidden historical heritage.
